A few months back one of the most popular carmakers Datsun had launched its new car named the Datsun Redi-Go 1.0-litre model. Now a new report has just come in. As per the new report, the carmaker is now gearing up to launch the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) model of the Datsun Redi-GO in the Indian market. It is also expected that the company will unveil the car by early in the coming year may be in January.
One of the most famous and successful models of the Datsun is its Datsun Redi-Go, and it entered the Indian market in 2016. When it was entered into the market, it was only available with a smaller engine. In July 2017, the company had introduced the 1.00litre version of the Redi-Go.
Datsun Redi-GO AMT is expected to come with the 1.0-litre engine. The engine will be a 999 cc iSAT engine and will give 67 bhp of power and 91 Nm of peak torque. It is expected that the automatic version of the Redi-Go will carry a 5-speed automated manual transmission gearbox while the manual version of the car will also come with the 5-speed manual transmission.
The Datsun Redi-GO AMT version will not get any significant changes in its interior and exterior design.The car will carry some same features that the old model of Redi-Go has. Some major changes will be its LED DRLs, sporty red accents for the seats, all-black cabin. For an attractive appeal silver finish has been added on the AC vents as well as on the horn pad. The buyer can get a driver side airbag, but that will be available with the only top-end trim of the new model. The Datsun Redi-Go manual transmission version is priced between Rs 2.41 lakh to Rs 3.74 lakh, so the new version is expected to be priced Rs 40,000 higher.
