The long awaited EcoSport subcompact SUV which is a mid-cycle update of the EcoSport will be launched today by Ford in India. The car previously made its debut in the United States in November last year. Now, the Ford EcoSport Facelift will be launched in India after more than four years since the nameplate was announced in the country.
The price of this new EcoSport Facelift is more likely going to be the same to the previous model. The updated 2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift comes with a host of new features, improved styling and revised cabin and others. It also comes with an all new petrol engine.
The 2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift comes with new features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, air conditioner, power steering and all 4 power windows and more are standard across variant range. It gets a redesigned front profile with a new grille, projector headlamps, and chunkier fog lamps. There is also a redesigned dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. There is also a 6.5-inch screen on the Trend and Trend+ and 8-inch screen (segment-first) on the Titanium and Titanium+ variant. The central console and controls for the AC are also new along with the steering wheel. The front seats are also redesigned and are relatively bigger. It comes with a tyre pressure monitoring system as well.
The updated Ford EcoSport petrol is powered by a newly introduced 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a new 6-speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters. On thee other hand, the diesel engine option of the EcoSport Facelift comes with the same 99 bhp, 1.5-litre TDCi engine that develops 205 Nm of peak torque. The Ford EcoSport Facelift is available in three new color options: Lightning Blue, Canyon Ridge, and Race Red.
