Jeep has recently unveiled its brand new 2018 Jeep Wrangler at an event. Previous information had informed that the SUV would be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but the Company has revealed the SUV before the auto show. Since the name came into existence, the Jeep Wrangler is known as the most recognizable and one of the most established automobiles in the world, and since 1940, the SUV has been carrying almost same design. The new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will soon hit India and will be available in two variant, i.e., petrol and diesel and this will replace the old model which had launched in India in 2016.
Coming to its design, the SUV comes with lighter and larger body structure and will work best on off-road condition also. One of the significant changes that the Jeep Wrangler has its front grill and headlight lamp setup. It comes with 7-slat grill with curved grill slot that the CJ5 has. The new grill design will give more aerodynamic. Talking about its headlamp, it comes with full LED lights and LED daytime running lights.
The Jeep Wrangler comes with 276 mm of ground clearance with a 44-degree approach and a 37-degree departure angle. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon will come with 33-inch tyre package on a 17-inch off-road wheel. The water fording capacity will be 30 inches.
It comes with some hybrid features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite navigation and satellite radio. The new 2018 Jeep Wrangler also has a large information screen in the instrument cluster which will give important driving information.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will have a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which features mild-hybrid technology. It is also expected that the 2018 Wrangler may come with a 3.6-litre V6 naturally aspirated Pentastar engine. The 2018 Wrangler will have an 8-speed automatic transmission.
