Introducing one more affordable bike in its product line, Kawasaki Motors India has launched its all-new bike the Versys-X 300. As per the report, the bike has been priced at Rs. 4.6 lakh which is the ex-showroom price. The bike will come under the adventure touring motorcycles of the company. Assembling process of the bike will be carried on at Kawasaki’s plant which is located in Chakan, Pune.
The bike comes with the smallest displacement engine system and comes with the 300cc engine. This is the only model of its kind in the touring category. The engine has been designed in such a way, that will give more smooth riding experience, better rpm at the low and medium power and will give enhance acceleration.
Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors, said: “The Versys-X 300 will offer a high level of riding excitement and rider confidence in a wide variety of roads. What makes Versys-X 300 versatile is comfortable highway cruising and easy riding in the city.”
The bike comes with 4-stroke Parallel Twin and Liquid-cooled 296 cm3 engine. The compression ratio is 10.6:1. The engine features eight valves DOHC valve system. The bike has 6-speed return transmission. The engine will give a Maximum power of 29.3 kW {40 PS} at 11,500 rpm and a Maximum torque of 25.7 N.m {2.6 kgf.m} at 10,000 rpm. It comes with high-tensile steel body frame. It gives 1450 mm wheelbase, and the ground clearance will be 180 mm. Seat height is 815 mm. The Fuel capacity is 17 liters.
The front wheel suspension will be 13 mm telescopic fork, and the rear side comes with the 148 mm Bottom-Link Uni-Trak, gas-charged shock and adjustable preload suspension. For braking, in the front, it has 290mm disc brake, and on the back, it carries a 220mm disc brake.
