Lamborghini is planning to launch its new vehicle named Lamborghini Urus. The information came into the front after an image spotted online which was accidentally shown in a promotional video. It is said that the company wants to give a fastest and sharpest SUV to the buyers and the new Lamborghini Urus SUV will fulfill this. As per the report, the SUV will be launched in December. For now, the company has released a video which shows cars dynamic abilities and its different mode of driving.
According to R&D chief Maurizio Reggiani, the Urus’ design, although applied to an unfamiliar body shape, is “pure Lamborghini.” He said the look “has evolved considerably since the [2015] concept and the finished car is much better, inside and out.” Reggiani said Lamborghini has concentrated its R&D efforts on power, weight, and aerodynamics, because “handling is a function” of these. “We want to be a leader here and have a chance to change the rules of the game.”
Looking at the car’s demonstration video, the SUV may have the 48 powered active anti-roll suspension technology like the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga has. The video demonstrates its driving ability in Corsa mode. As per the report, the design is resembling with the concept which was revealed in 2012 by the company. It is said that the SUV will come with the hybrid powertrain engine which will give 650Hp and around 850Nmm of torque. It will be a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine.
“A super sports car is completely different; you need the responsiveness of the engine, to feel the spark of every cylinder,” said Reggiani. “We will keep normally aspirated engines for our other models – they are still the best choice.”
As per the report, the production process of the SUV will start at the brand’s Sant’Agata Bolognese site which is located in Northern Italy.
