Luxurious car maker Maserati has launched its new 2018 Quattroporte GTS. AS per the report the vehicle is priced at Rs. 2.7 crore which is the ex-showroom price. The company stated, “In India, the 2018 Quattroporte GTS GranLusso and GranSport range will be available at an average price of Rs 2.7 crore (ex-showroom Delhi) based on customization.”
The 2018 Quattroporte GTS first showcased at 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and globally launched in September. Now it has officially launched in India. It is available in two unique trim options – GranLusso and GranSport.
The 3.8-litre V8 engine, a perfect representation of Maserati’s engineering, provides the Quattroporte GTS supercar performance with substantially reduced fuel consumption and emissions. The GranLusso trim highlights the elegance of the Maserati executive sedan. The 3.8-litre V8 Euro 6 engine produces 390 kW (530 hp) at 6,800 rpm and 650 Nm peak torque from 2,000 rpm to 4,000 rpm. The peak torque figure can be automatically over-boosted to 710 Nm between 2,250 rpm and 3,500 rpm. These engine figures help the Quattroporte to reach 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating four-door car in Maserati’s history. Another Maserati record held by the Quattroporte is its top speed, well above the 300 km/h barrier at 310 km/h. This engine has been specifically designed to deliver remarkable performance at all engine speeds, combined with lower consumption and emissions – the V8 engine boasts very high torque even at speeds as low as 1,500 rpm.
All versions of the Quattroporte are fitted with the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that ensures exceptional comfort, fast gear shifting, optimised fuel consumption and reduced NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). The Quattroporte utilizes a mechanical rear LSD. The bevel-drive asymmetric unit offers 35% lock-up under power and 45% under release.
All Quattroporte models are equipped with an Air Quality Sensor, while in the MY18 model, two new comfort features are introduced: Soft Close Doors, which automatically and quietly closes doors, and the electrically lockable passenger glove box with Valet Mode.
It also comes with Adaptive full LED headlights, Integrated Vehicle Control, Electric Power Steering and more. For driver’s security, it offers Highway Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
