The leading Japanese car maker Toyota is now gearing up to launch it’s all new Vios Sedan in the Indian market. As per the report, the Toyota Vios will be launched by mid-2018m before Diwali. The report says Toyota is now speeding up the production process of the Vios and by 2018 Diwali the company will finish the process. It is expected that the Toyota Vios will give a stiff competition to the Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
Toyota’s Innova and Fortuner have gained more popularity since the day they entered the Indian market. The company is doing 6000 and 2000 units average sell per month. But when comes to sedan cars, the company has not got any major success till now. The New Vios may change the situation.
Even though the car is yet to arrive in India, it is already available in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. It is quite popular in these Southeast Asian market.
Now, coming to its design, the car comes with fully modern headlights and grille like its global models. With the modern design, it gives a unique look.
If compared, the Vios comes with a shorter dimension, i.e., 4420mm. On the other hand, the Honda City Comes with 4442mm dimension. In wheelbase also, the Honda City has the longer wheelbase. But compared to the Etios, the Vios will be 1700 wider than the Etios. This can be a benefit of the car.
As per the report, the car will have the 1.5 liters DOHC 16 valve 108hp engine which will feature VVT-I technology. It will give better valve timing, high piston compression and will enhance the fuel delivery system.
Only the petrol variant of the car will be launched in India. However, the company has not given any detail about its price and exact launching date.
