Volvo has recently announced the official launching date of its all-new 2018 edition of XC60 for India. As per the report, the XC60 will be launched in the Indian market on 12th December. The 2018 Volvo XC60 will be launched with inscription trim, upgraded tech and with more safety features.
The new XC60 will have a 235hp, 2.0-litre D5 diesel engine and an eight-speed automatic gearbox with all-wheel drive. The engine will give more performance power and good acceleration speed.
In starting the SUV will be available only with the 2.0-litre D5 engine. However, it is expected that the company will bring in its 320hp T6 petrol and 407hp T8 Twin-Engine petrol-hybrid engine of the XC60 in coming years.
Now talking about the equipment that the SUV has, the 2018 XC60 will come with air suspension, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, Nappa leather upholstery, heads-up display and large 19-inch alloy wheels. One of the significant feature the car will have, the radar-based safety systems, which would make it the second Volvo in India. The XC90 Excellence also has the radar-based safety system. The 2018 XC60 SUV has a large touchscreen infotainment system and comes with the steering mounted audio control system which will give more convenience factor to the driver. The XC60 is expected to come with black and beige color variants and will have the high-quality leather work.
The company will carry out the assembling process at Bengaluru plant. The company has not disclosed its official price for the Indian market, but it is expected that the SUV will come with a price tag of Rs 55 lakh which will be the ex-showroom price. The XC60 will give a stiff competition to the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Mercedes GLC, the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 which will be launched in 2018.
