Finally, the time has arrived and the Swedish car manufacturer Volvo has launched its all new the XC60 2018 model in India, today. The car comes with only Inscription variant and carries a price tag of Rs. 55.90 lakh which is the ex-showroom price. The new car is based on the latest Scalable Product Architecture (SPA).
The new Volvo XC60 comes with a 1969cc four-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine. It generates 233bhp at 4000 rpm and can catch 480 Nm torque at 1750-2250 rpm. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. However, the global version of the Volvo XC60 also comes with petrol engine like T5 and T6 with 2-litre turbocharged engine.
Volvo is all set to introduce its next-generation powerful SUV the 2018 XC60. The SUV will be introduced tomorrow. The vehicle looks quite similar to the XC90, but it comes with different specification. The 2018 XC60 comes with blind-spot detection, cross traffic alert, lane keeping assistance, dynamic LED headlights that turn with the steering’s movements, 360-degree parking sensors, an action cam-quality 360-degree camera and many more.
The 2018 XC60 comes air suspension, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, Nappa leather upholstery, heads-up display and large 19-inch alloy wheels. This will surely grab the attention of car lovers. The car is equipped with a radar-based safety system. On the front, it has the Volvo’s logo multi-slat chrome grill.
The vehicle is equipped with high-quality seats and come with heat, ventilation and massage function to give best comfortable driving experience. The 2018 XC60 SUV has a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and comes with the steering mounted audio control system which will give more convenient way to operate the system. Along with these, it comes with 4 zone climate control and 15speaker bowers. It offers a 9.0-inch center Sensus touchscreen.
The 2018 XC60 is 4688mm x 1902mm x 1658mm (LxWxH). The wheelbase is 2865 mm. The XC60 will compete with the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Mercedes GLC, the Audi Q5 and BMW X3, Lexus NX. All these vehicles are set to be launched in 2018. The delivery of the XC60 will be started from 2018.
