The smartphone technology is developing rapidly with better and unique SoCs, Facial ID technology, Under Display Fingerprint Scanner system and more. Recently, Apple introduced wireless charging technology which comes with iPhone 8, iPhone 8Plus and iPhone S. For this Apple had joined Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). It enables the wireless charging technology in smartphones. It seems that now Xiaomi is planning to provide the wireless charging feature. For this, in September Xiaomi had enrolled with Wireless Power Consortium. After that, some leaked reports informed that Xiaomi’s new upcoming smartphones would come with wireless charging feature. Now a fresh report has just come in. As per the report, Xiaomi Mi 7 will be the first device which will be equipped with wireless charging technology and the company will begin the test production of the device before the Sprint Festival.
As per the report, as the Xiaomi is expected to adopt the wireless charging technology like Apple, it may face issues like product quality and short supply issue for adopting the feature in the Mi 7. It is said that the Mi 7 will be launched in March 2018. That’s why the company is now planning to start the trial production before February 2018 so that by March the company can able to stock more Mi 7 smartphone.
If the Mi 7 will be equipped with the wireless charging feature, then the device will carry a glass made chassis. The Qi charging on Mi 7 will allow the users to charge the battery by just placing the device on a wireless charging pad. As per the rumors, the Mi 7 will have a 6 inch AMOLED display which is made by Samsung, and the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 Processor. The device may carry a 4 GB of RAM and will be backed by a 3350mAh battery. The device may come with 3D facial recognition feature, and the expected price is 2699 Yuan.
